Singer-songwriter Jason Derulo just hinted that he has a country music project in the works.
When a TMZ reporter asked about the rumors of him persuing a country venture were true, Derulo confirmed by saying "I'm doing a country project. I can't announce what it is exactly yet."
Earlier this year, he won a CMT Music Award for his collaboration with Luke Bryan on his song "Want To Want Me."
The two continued to work together, performing Bryan's song 'Strip It Down' at the awards show together on June 7.
But this is not the first time that Derulo has expanded from his usual hip hop genre. Back in 2016, he collaborated with British girl supergroup Little Mix on their hit song, "Secret Love Song."
Derulo's expansion into other genres does not seem to mean he will be slowing down from the world of hip hop. His hip hop hit 'Swalla,' which features Nicki Minaj and Ty Dolla $ign, is still climbing the R&B charts and receiving major radio airplay.
