Chicago's own Chance The Rapper has always taken his hometown pride to another level, and this past weekend was no exception.
According to complex.com, Chance was honored as the Grand Marshal of the annual Bud Billiken parade on Saturday, August 12. Later that evening, he kept the festivities going by putting on a free concert.
Always an incredible performer, Chance did not disappoint fans at the event. Attendees were treated to special guest performances by Future and Jeremih, but the highlight came when a projector screen in the middle of the stage broadcasted a special message from Number 44 himself, President Barack Obama.
Obama, who had also been Grand Marshal in the same festival several years earlier, has been vocal about his gratitude for Chance's philanthropic efforts to help the City of Chicago. First Lady Michelle Obama also honored Chance at the BET Awards when she addressed the audience before he accepted the 2017 Humanitarian Award.
