This year the 61st Grammy started off with 15 time Grammy award winner Alicia Keys as the host along with special guests Michelle Obama and Lady Gaga taking the stage giving the audience a warm introduction.

Keys walked onto the stage while "Superwoman" was playing wearing a comfy green jumpsuit and a printed headscarf.

Tori Kelly takes the Grammy for Best Gospel Album for Hiding Place.

Kelly beat out Jekalyn Carr, Jonathan McReynolds, The Walls Group, and Brian Courtney Wilson who were in the running.

The Grammy's caught up with Camila Cabello, the former member of FIfth Harmony on the red carpet.

Post Malone performs with Red Hot Chilli Peppers "Stay", "Dark", and "Rockstar".

Grammys ask H.E.R. how many shades does she own and that she was nominated for five Grammy awards.

First time Grammy nominee and winner.

The 21-year-old first time nominee had took home her very first Grammy for her self-titled EP. Boy band BTS was on stage to present the award for best R&B album.

Lady Gaga took home the Grammy for best pop duo or group performance for "Shallow".

Travis Scott teamed up with Earth Wind and Fire and James Blake performing "Stop Trying to be God".

Travis Scott was nominated for three Grammys this year for best rap performance, and best rap song "Sicko Mode" and best rap album AstroWorld.

Childish Gambino won big at the Grammy awards with four out of five wins.

Gambino beat out The Carters, Joyner Lucas, Janelle Monáe, and Tierra Whack for best music video.

Gambino wasn't able to accept his big wins for best music video, song of the year, best rap/sung performance, and record of the year. Gambino's team in fact didn't know the whereabouts of the Grammy winner. Accepting the award on his behalf was Ludwig Goransson and Riley Mackin.

Cardi B wins Grammy for best rap album for Invasion of Privacy.

Nervous and flustered, Cardi B walked onto the big stage with her husband Offset. "Babe, I can't breathe." B said to Offset, who was standing next to her in support of her big win.

Ariana Grande wins Grammy avoids Grammy drama.

The 25-year-old songstress wasn't in attendance to accept the award for best pop vocal album for "Sweetener". Grande had beat out runner up's Kelly Clarkson, Taylor Swift, Pink, Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello, who wasn't in attendance either but posted to Twitter that Grande's win was "wild and beautiful."

Grande posted to her Twitter feed saying: " i know i’m not there tonight (trust, i tried and still truly wished it had worked out tbh) and i know i said i try not to put too much weight into these things .... but f*ck ....... this is wild and beautiful. thank you so much."

Drake gets cut off during his acceptance speech.

Drizzy was in the middle of giving a speech for winning best rap song for "God's Plan" and the Grammy producers had just cut his mic off right when he paused and was going to continue but the producers proceeded with the show as planned.

CBS made a statement on Twitter saying "Everyone at the Grammys is a winner tonight."
