Enrique Iglesias and Luis Coronel top the list of Nominees for 12º Annual de "Premios Juventud" Youth Awards

MIAMI – MAY 7,  2015 -- With nine nominations, including “Just Play It All,” Spanish pop sensation Enrique Iglesias leads the list of nominees for Univision Network’s “Premios Juventud” (Youth Awards), which for the 12 th consecutive year will honor the hottest figures in movies, music, fashion, pop culture, and sports as determined by votes cast by fans. In addition, Mexican singer Luis Coronel is the second most nominated artist, with eight nominations, including “My Mexican Regional Artist” and “My Favorite Video.”

Fans pick their favorites for the 12 th edition of Univision Network’s popular annual awards ceremony via Fan voting to elect the winners will be open between today and Sunday, May 31 st at 11:59 PM ET on All of the winners will be announced during the “Premios Juventud” live broadcast on Thursday, July 16, 2015 at 7 p.m. ET/PT (6 p.m. Central).

This year, the list of award categories includes “Just Play It All,” for the fan’s favorite album and “Best New Artist for supporting all new young talent in the music industry. In addition, fans can vote for the Latin artist that best engages with them via social media. Nominees include El Dasa, Larry Hernández, Luis Coronel, Nicky Jam, Prince Royce and Thalía.

Other top nominees for this year’s awards include Regional Mexican group Ariel Camacho y Los Plebes del Rancho, bachata king Romeo Santos, urban artist Nicky Jam, bachatero heartthrob Prince Royce, Cuban singer-songwriter Descemer Bueno, Cuban reggaeton group Gente de Zona and Colombian reggaeton sensation J Balvin.

Additional nominees in the music category include legendary Mexican rockers Maná and acclaimed Puerto Rican salsero Marc Anthony, as well as renowned Guatemalan singer/songwriter Ricardo Arjona and Miami’s “Mr. Worldwide”, Pitbull.

In the world of the silver screen, nominees for “Best Actor” include Antonio Banderas, Gael García Bernal, Jaime Camil, Mauricio Ochmann, and William Levy. Aislinn Derbez, Jennifer López, Kate Del Castillo, Salma Hayek, and Sofía Vergara are vying for the “She Steals the Show” award. Nominees for “Favorite Flick” are Addicted, A La Mala, McFarland, USA, Spare Parts and The Boy Next Door.

For telenovelas, Maite Perroni, Marjorie de Sousa, Paulina Goto, Silvia Navarro and Zuria Vega are competing for “Favorite Lead Actress.” Nominees for “Favorite Lead Actor” are Cristian de la Fuente, Daniel Arenas, David Zepeda, Jorge Salinas and Mark Tacher. Other telenovela-related awards include “Best Novela Theme Song.”

Fans nominated some of the Hispanic world’s most prominent sportsmen for the “Most Electrifying Athlete” award, including Real Madrid superstars Cristiano Ronaldo, James Rodríguez and Javier “Chicharito” Hernández, Málaga’s Guillermo “Memo” Ochoa and Barcelona astro Lionel Messi.
