Biografía de Jackie Guerrido
Jackie Guerrido serves as the weekday weather anchor for Univision’ afternoon news-magazine show, “Primer Impacto” (First Impact).
Guerrido started her career in show business after moving to New York from Puerto Rico. After landing a local voiceover project, she quickly was discovered and offered a production assignment with one of New York’s most highly rated radio programs, La Mega 97.9 FM’s “El Vacilón de la Mañana” (The Morning Party).
At around the same time, Guerrido was offered a job as a radio announcer for Spanish Broadcasting Corporation’s Romance 106.7 FM where she hosted her own show for over a year. Hispanic Broadcasting Company, the leading Spanish-language radio group at the time, then recruited Guerrido to take part in their top-rated morning show and serve as its news and traffic announcer. Soon thereafter, Guerrido was hosting her own morning music show on HBC’s Salsa 98.3 FM.
While at Salsa 98.3, Guerrido started working in television at Telemundo 51 Miami reporting traffic and entertainment. A year later, Guerrido received a call from Univision 23 Miami to join its ranks presenting the weather for the morning newscast “Al Amanecer de Noticias 23” (New 23 at Dawn). She then presented the weather for Univision Network’s morning program “Despierta América” (Wake-up America) and hosted a segment entitled “En Forma con Jackie” (In Form with Jackie) where she offered beauty tips.
