Ino Gomez was born in the small town of Baez, Cuba, where he developed his love for radio, listening to baseball games and reading about “The Theatre of the Mind” by the legendary Orson Wells. He came to the United States in 1970 along with his family, settling in the New York Metropolitan Area.

He began his advertising career in 1981 before moving to the administrative and commercial side of radio and TV in 1986.

His first gig in radio happened when he filled in for the legendary New York icon Alipio “Coco” Cabrera during “De Todo un Poco,” a program heard on WADO.

As a result of his on-air exposure in 1998, Ino was offered a weekend show on WADO hosting “El Festival De La Tremenda Corte,”  a popular program that was heard on WADO every Saturday at 2 p.m. Currently, Ino is the host of “Buen Día New York” which is heard every Monday – Friday from 5 a.m. – 10 a.m. Ino also hosts his own syndicated national talk show that airs on Univision America.

Ino has been happily married for 17 years and currently resides in North Bergen, NJ, with his wife Leslie, his son Daniel and his dog Pepe.

Ino enjoys reading the fan mail he gets, spending time with his listeners, basketball and hiking in the mountains.

His philosophy in life is: “Laugh now… as for crying, we always have time later.”
