Even the non-chefs among us realize there is something to be said for homemade desserts. There are just some times when store bought goodies won’t do. The holidays require a little more effort, even from those of us who tend to avoid the kitchen. Fear not, because below are five completely respectable, and relatively easy holiday dessert recipes for the non-chef. Yes, you can do this. It’s simpler than you think. I wouldn’t add a recipe that was too difficult for you, or myself for that matter. These handy little to-go dessert muffins are a little more involved but should be no problem for most of us. Hey, if you can manage a group text you can probably manage these muffins. These are especially nice because you can send them home with your guests, easily, so you don’t end up eating them all.

Don’t panic! Yes, pie is not easy, so to speak, but I chose one that isn’t more than you can handle. I promise, this is worth the little bit of extra effort. When they named this pie, they weren’t wrong. It’s absolutely scrumptious.
