Safety Tips
At Univision.com, we want you to have fun when using our services to express yourself and interact with friends in the Univision community. But we also want you to be safe while having fun, so here are some important tips to keep in mind:
- Keep your identity secret. Don’t post specific personal information (like your real name, phone number, home/e-mail/IM address, or the school you go to) or put up photos or videos of yourself because anyone can see this information. To be safe and avoid embarrassment, keep your profile and communications general and never disclose personal information to strangers – remember, people are not always who they say they are. And never give your password to anyone.
- Don’t post private or protected content. Photos and videos of your friends are special (and sometimes even funny!). But remember that if you post them, anyone in the world can see them. Make sure you have the permission of whoever appears in your photos and videos before you post them. Also, never put up clips of movies, TV shows or music unless the owner gives you permission (see our Terms of Use).
- Inappropriate content will not be tolerated. To allow all to enjoy the community, please don’t post inappropriate photos or videos (like nudity, violence, etc.) or leave inappropriate comments (like hateful, obscene, etc.). If you see other users posting such inappropriate content, you can flag the content for our review. Remember, some people may say mean things about you or your content, so help avoid this by only allowing your friends to leave comments and report any hateful or inappropriate to us at abuse@correo.univision.com.
We hope you enjoy your experience on Univision.com by following these Safety Tips. You can always learn more about what you can and can’t do on Univision.com by reviewing our Terms of Use (which applies to every member of the Univision community).
